In or Out: Blake Lively in Chanel

It's quite the little space waitress dress, but she had to wear Chanel, of course. Besides, it suits her. It's not our favorite Chanel dress in the world, but if you're the new face of Chanel handbags and Chanel is throwing a dinner in your honor during Paris fashion week, well. What better time for a girl to break out the "look at me" dress? No, she did all right in that regard. We even like the hair and makeup. It's when we get to the shoes that the needle scratches off the record. We're pretty sure we really, really hate these shoes. They look like a cross between the inside of "I Dream of Jeannie's" bottle and the lawn and garden department at Home Depot. We can't with these.

However, despite our prickliness when it comes to accessories, we can't give this look anything but an IN. It's not really our taste overall, but it's absolutely right for the occasion and the girl looks fierce as hell. It was her night and she came dressed for it.
